Seeking A Health Sector For Purpose Leader
Braemar Charitable Trust is funding a place on the 2025 CELF Elevate Leadership programme for a “for purpose” leader in the not-for-profit health field.
The Trust exists to improve health outcomes in our community through supporting organisations and activities that reduce inequities and assist those who face barriers to accessing health services and as a result suffer, poorer health outcomes.
It is the 100% owner of Braemar Hospital and funds a range of charitable activities including scholarships, health research, developing health expertise, and funding free community surgeries for people in need.
The Trust will support one candidate for the 2025 CELF programme who is currently in a role that has a direct impact on the health and wellbeing in our wider Waikato community and is or aspires to be, a transformational/system change leader in the Not-For-Profit community health sector.
It will fund a place for a “for purpose” leader or aspiring leader in a community based organisation which has a strong focus on improving health outcomes. The Trust is particularly interested in helping a leader, or an aspiring leader, from a smaller organisation which may not have the funding to pay for a programme place, but whose work can make a significant impact at a grassroots level.

Criteria
To be eligible for the Braemar Charitable Trust place candidates:
Must work in the health field in the not-for-profit sector
Their role must have a direct impact on the health of the community and its members
They must reside in the wider Midlands region
They must have a passion for change and aspire to leadership within their area (community).
