Four Leaders Step Change Leadership
Bill George wrote in the Harvard Business School article about four titans of leadership, who defined a new era in business during the past decade. All of these leaders have recently finished their tenures: PepsiCo’s Indra Nooyi, Unilever’s Paul Polman, Mayo Clinic’s John Noseworthy, and US Bancorp’s Richard Davis.
Bill looks at how each of these leaders recognised the need for business to contribute to society in meaningful ways, not just profit from it. Where there has to be benefit for all stakeholders: their customers, employees, shareholders, and communities and how this approach would result in sustained increases in revenues, earnings, employment, and shareholder value.
